Me and my husband have live here at Foxfire for a year..
Its cheap and an ok place to live..
As far as crime, nobody was killed or raped or anything serious like that..I've only seen a few cars with their driver side window broke, but you shouldnt leave you stuff laying around in plain sight in the first place. Other than that its a pretty safe place, I guess. I sometimes walk my dogs late at night with no problem. I've even came home after 1am and have to walk pretty far(because of parking) with no problem. Maintenance responds very quickly. I've only had to call them 3 times, twice because something was leaking from the upstairs apartment and once because the AC wasnt cold at all..But that was it and they fixed it right away. As far as noise, it isnt too bad. I guess it also depends on who lives above you. You really want a place that doesnt have a big dog living right above you (especially a dog with separation anxiety lol) I'm sure not everyone will have to experience this. Speaking of dogs, I swear everyone here has at least one. lol And hardly anyone picks up after their HUGE dog! If you never have to walk in the grass, then you're fine. The kids sometimes play in the street, and I dont blame them..who wants to step in crap with every step they take'
Now, parking, omg, it really sucks. If you come home after 7 you're pretty much out of luck. Which leads me to the reason why we're leaving as soon as our lease is up (in one week) Me and my husband both parked our cars where there were no lanes but we were well inside the fire lane..so the next morning my husband is getting ready for work and looks out the window and sees both of our cars being towed away. We did speak with the manager and he spoke to the owner of the towing place and they did reduce the fee from $200 to $50 per car..but we still shouldnt have had to pay $100 to park for one night because there was absolutely NO WHERE ELSE TO PARK..Then to top it all they damaged my car (estimated $1600 to fix..which we're working on making the towing place pay!) I then went and spoke with the manager to see if we could get $100 off of rent or SOMETHING..but he never did anything. I asked him SEVERAL times "so what were we supposed to do that night when we had no where else to park" and all he could say was "well, uh, I understand and thats why we're trying to clear out a few spaces" ..does that answer my question' No!..once again I asked "so what were we supposed to do THAT night.." .."I understand..." and he never could answer me. We put up with all the other things because its such a cheap place to live and all(our rent was only $415 but once they added water and stuff it would be about $450)..but this was just rediculous! Several other people continue to park where we had parked..why' because theres no where else to park..
If you can put up with the parking and never walk in the grass, this really is an ok place to live. The apartment itself it pretty spacious (650 sq ft) the only thing not so nice about the inside of the apartment is the sinks arent stainless steel or anything, they're painted with white paint lol
Well, I know I wrote like a novel, but I had alot to say! =)
My advice would be to come check out the apartments at night..just park (if you can find parking) and observe..
oh and they do have laundry facilities but something is always wrong with them..they arent coin operated, you have to buy a card and put money on it..
