Under the old management this place was great. Now that Advenir has taken over, I think things are going wrong. They seem to have fired the grounds keepers and now there's trash just about everywhere. Nobody seems to ever throw their garbage into the dumpster... so the wind blows it all over the common areas. The grounds keepers used to keep this place clean, but now they are gone.

There are a lot of roaches, but for the rent it's hardly a problem needing to buy roach motels to try to control them myself.

As soon as the new management took over the utility bill was double. They said it was because the old management company owed the utility company (Minol USA) money and we're just catching back up on utilities we owe anyway. However, Minol USA bills the tenants directly, so this sounds like a load of crap to me.

It seems like almost none of the dog owners pick up after their animals, so be cautious walking in the grass. Also, there is one area where people seem to throw kitty litter right out their front door into the grass, and yes it does smell. Management has not yet addressed this issue as it keeps reoccuring.

All in all, for a 1 bed 1 bath at $489/month this close to a theatre, grocery store, and blockbuster I'm satisfied. I'm rather impressed with the security guards. I see them every night when I walk my dogs. I feel rather safe here, and my car has not been bothered.

There are several residents with cars worth around $2 and rims worth around $700 each that feel the need to have a car alarm that goes off whenever the wind blows. Be prepared to lose sleep if you're near one of these.

The sliding closet doors seem rather cool when they show you them in the model. You can only access 2/3 of your closet at a time. Sometimes a door will fall on you. A shoestring is enough to keep you from being able to open the closet. So, keep your closet area in ship shape, or you are likely to have issues with it.

The AC unit works well. Its downside is that it blows in the odors of whatever the neighbors are cooking. Sometimes the apartment smells like garlic, tuna, or ethnic foods. It's not a big bother but it makes me hungry.

The fitness center is only accessible during office hours and most of the equipment does not work. The freeweights and bicycle work as of today, nothing else does. The pool is usually clean, and the design is quite nice with two shallow areas and one deep section. It's easy to swim laps in.

If I arrive home after 9:00pm I will usually not be able to find a place to park in the lot near my apartment, I'll have to go a lot or two over.

I can hear my neighbors through the bathroom, but not from any other room of the house (unless the kids above are romping around).

All in all, for $489/month it's probably worth it. If you're hoping to find a great place this cheap, look again. Personally, I'm moving to one of the neighboring apartment communities when the lease is up. I want a bigger place, with better ammenities.

I just moved out and I see people walking around holding beer cans, and asking people if they smoke. The managers are not worth a crap and they are not understanding. All of the -------- have 3 familys living in a 1 bedroom! There is still people that are from New Orleans there and the states is still paying for there rent, and all they do if walk around smoking "WEED". they need to get this place under control. Everyone that I know that livws here as well is moving out ASAP when there lease is up!!! the only thing that i have to say that is good abput this place is it is SAFE at night because of the security guards! they stay on there job

Minola stated you could pay half one month and half another. I feel that was more than fair.

Thronka, Yes. Minol says you may pay half one month and half another month. However, since Minol bills ME directly I don't understand how I am behind on payments. I shouldn't have to foot the bill for either the old or new management.
