Noisy, unsafe, and overpriced

Gables Mirabella is significantly overpriced for the level of comfort and safety offered. This complex is EXTREMELY NOISY. The new Gables complex across the street is still under construction, and even when it is not, the garbage trucks use Cole Ave as a collecting ground for garbage processing (meaning that for 1-2 hours every morning, the "garbage truck sound" is unbearable. Most days, I have to wake up at 645am regardless of whether I want to or not. There is simply no option of sleeping beyond that with the horrible noise.

As for security, the area is generally unsafe, which is not Gables' problem. However, they have sent misleading and incomplete data to Mirabella residents over the last 2 years. Further, they regularly post flyers, notices, and other mostly worthless paper on the doors of the apartments. The effect is to let all burglars know who is and who is not home. I have repeatedly complained about this, asking for emails, notices in my mailbox, or phone calls instead of "please break in" notices, but they continue to disregard my pleas, even after repeated break-ins at the apartment building.

In short, this is a noisy and unsafe apartment complex that nonetheless demands extremely high rent. I would have left long ago, but I just have not had time to move since I travel so much.

I will say that maintenance is great, and parking is good and available. But for $1300 /month for a 1 BR, they should be. I like my physical apartment, and but for the noise and safety issues, would be happy (notwithstanding that there are better deals on rent in Uptown). BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq

If you were that unhappy, then why do you continue to stay? you say you would have left long ago..but didn't have the time to find something else, but you have the time to complain about your current situation. I also live in an apartment have been told that no place is guaranteed to be safe. Good luck finding someplace that can guarantee your safety.

Thank you, Management. I am a lawyer and travel about 75% of the time. This is why the postings on my door were such a problem. As for your analysis, let's just say it leaves much to be desired. I have since moved, and believe it or not, taking 5 minutes to tell the truth is quicker and cheaper than moving. My current place is much more service-oriented. If you actually read my post, I noted that safety in the area is not Gables' problem. I certainly don't expect any guarantees, especially in Dallas/Uptown. However, by repeatedly informing passers-by that I have not been home by posting ads, Gables took overt steps to decrease the security of my apartment. There is a difference. In the end, service and housing quality is relative, and in Uptown, you can get much more for much less.
