It's OK - I've got a lot of details in the description.

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I've lived here since September 2005.
First, addressing management/staff at the front office: yeah, they're not great. I personally like to deal w/ Kim, but unfortunately she has more of an "Operations" position and can't really help w/ lease terms, etc. Gerald is the leasing manager and he has gotten better since I've been living here. We had a great deal on our first lease (2 months free on a 13 month lease), and just resigned w/ a $24 increase/month for a 1 year lease. Really try to negotiate! Of the 4/5 people that work in the office, I think Matt is the worst (very rude to myself and my old roommate), but my experience hasn't been so bad from him when I'm in need of "easy" assistance. I've never really seen the overall manager. Honestly, most apartment workers are bad, so I don't expect too much and trust me these guys don't deserve any awards (except Kim).
Location: Its great - easy access to Uptown (duh).
Parking: We have one parking spot and I usually let my roommate have it. I park on the street as much as I can either behind/on the side of the parking garage. When I do park in the garage, we're on the 3rd level, so you have to go up and around about 7 times before getting to the spot - I can't imagine living above say level 4/5 and doing this everyday! The lighting is good and gates are all around the building, so it's more convenient to park on the street personally, and I've never had a problem w/ my car getting scratched/broken into/etc. Only 4/5 times in the past 6 months have I actually driven up to the 7th level to park (and it is miserable when you do).
Layout of the apartment: Great in my eyes. Construction of apartment - pretty good, no problems whatsoever. Maintenance crew has been good so far. I do hear my neighbor playing his electric guitar through the walls, but that's the only time I have heard anything.
Cares/hospitality team: Wonderful. These guys don't work for Gables and always have nice breakfasts Saturday mornings or "on the go", night mini-parties, etc. Really nice couple.
Safety: No place is 100% safe living in a city or even the suburbs. I personally have never really felt "unsafe" in the garage or around the complex (and I'm a single girl). Always be alert, looking around, etc. and don't talk on your cell phone (or be distracted in other ways) while walking around.
Other tenants: Everyone we've met has been nice. :) No crazy neighbors, really loud parties, etc. that I've seen and we're right by the elevator.
Pool/common "landscape" areas: I wasn't really here over the summer so I never tried to lay out (or I'd usually go to friend's apartment pools), but I do believe the other posts that this place gets VERY limited sunlight at the pool.
