No idea what everyone is complaining about

I moved into Gables State Thomas about a month and a half ago and I have been extremely happy ever since. \
I am in a one bedroom with a study that is big enough to accommodate my very large desk and a futon. It isn't cheap, but it is VERY reasonable compared to the rest of uptown.
First of all, the management is incredible. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and takes a genuine concern in whatever questions I might have.
The maintenance is equally incredible, I had a couple of issues with my appliances at the very beginning that were resolved within an hour, and the maintenance staff is also very warm.
I realize as I'm writing this how much it sounds like I work here, but I promise I don't.
I am a law student nearby so finding a quiet place was of paramount importance to me and I have not been disappointed as the exterior walls are concrete (which makes hanging pictures a little more of a nuisance but the added quiet is so worth it). I have heard the person above me maybe 4 times for a few seconds in duration since I moved in.
The parking garage has gotten a lot of complaints from the other reviews. People complain first of all about the speed bumps in the garage, I think they are necessary because there are some people (look for the big SUV's) who drive through at 90 and don't seem to care whether or not you're there, but they are the exception rather than the rule and that is largely because of the deterrence of the bumps.
I know a lot of people on the upper floors (I live on the 3rd) complain about driving up that far. Yes, it is a pain in the ass, but you HAVE some place to park and if it was that big a deal you shouldn't have moved in to begin with. It takes MAYBE two minutes to go from top to bottom, which I guess seems like a lot when you do it all the time.
I've read a lot about the fire alarms too, and I haven't heard them once (I hope I'm not jinxing that).
The apartment layouts are awesome, pretty courtyard inside, and I can get to Katy Trail in 2 minutes on my bike. I can also walk to nearby bars and get drunk without worrying about getting home.
There are two grocery stores within a few minutes of each other, and I can get to school in 10 minutes flat.
On the downside...
The pool is kinda small, but I don't swim so I don't really care.
One of the four elevators is out fairly often, but if you tell the staff they get on it right away.
I wish we had venetian blinds.
Other than that, like I've said, I LOVE this place so far.
