The building is not constructed well as an apartment complex. The units have little to no storage space, no linen closets, and small bedroom closets. The initial tour is constructed to show you the very best unit. But upon moving in you find you may technically have the updated amenities but the construction is poor and wear and tear from other residents has not been addressed. The parking lot is a nightmare, dark damp and no room to maneuver/ park. The electricity bills are extremely high ($80 for my past month when the a/c/ heater had been completely off, $160 when it s on- for a small one bedroom). The most frustrating thing about this apartment complex is the management staff. They give forth the appearance of effort/ look like they are willing to help you. But in realty the staff is lazy and do not put any effort forth to help the residents. This is my first experience with Gables staff, and I am extremely unimpressed, the day you move in they pull a Jekyll/ Hyde, rude and unhelpful. They will charge you hand over foot to move-in with hidden fees, and then do everything in their power to keep your deposit. Don t be fooled by your initial visit, the experience is much worse than the tour, and this is a place you will be forced to live.

Lived there 3 years. While the location of the bldg is about as great as you can get in Dallas, the rest was dead on--mgt at this location IS lazy and non-communicative. And it seems to trickle down. I have been trying to get ---------- to return my email/calls from the regional office and nothing. Time to go to corporate.

Totally disagree. Lived there for 6 years and loved it. Yes, the electric bill was high....you actually got away cheap...i have paid up to $250 a month. Overall, they staff and maintenace is incredible. Very polite, always saying hi and they know who i am ....that there is what I am looking for. and the area is great!!! They don't have kids and party college there so it is wonderful! i have been away for 2 years and miss it like crazy and happy to be moving back!!!
