Excellent location, close to 75 and all things downtown Dallas. If safety is an issue, you can't beat this place. Both Highland Park and Dallas police are visible on a regular basis. Occasionally (over several years) have heard of car break-ins in the area, but tenant cars are visible from each apartment, so this is reduced by proximity/view.

These are older buildings, with wood floors. Each apartment is unique as the property is improved each time a tenant moves. The management allows for tenants to choose their own paint colors in all but the stairways and upper hall(for townhomes). Personalization is also available by the encouragement of tenant gardens at each of two entries. Nicely cared for, and though management is not on the premises at night, they respond well to problems and have 24 hour access. Even more important, management and maintenance are a caring lot of people. In an emergency they have even been known to take care of animals when tenants have trouble getting home on time.

Though the monthly rent may seem steep, location within the Highland Park School district is well worth the price. There is a courtyard for some tenants that lends to a sense of community. Most tenants have dogs, so this is a gathering place, as is the nearby upscale shopping and Katy Trail (one block away).
