Lived here 1 & 1/2 years. Not terrible, not good.

This complex is not the greatest in Carrollton, but if you look at what you get for the price, its not a rip off. First I have to bring up A/C costs.
Cons:
- A/C was on 69 in the winter and 71 in the summer and my bill never went below $200. The insulation is really bad and it is noticeably 10 degrees colder next to the windows.
- No assigned parking. You don't really have to walk far but it is a pain having to park 3 buildings down just because you go out at night.
- Bad design on front of building. This horrible design has led to me almost getting in 5 seperate accidents. Really not the apartments fault, its just people are too stupid to comprehend the dual driveway.
- Located in a lower class area.
- Management requests kind of sound like threats. (they could ask nicer but they don't)
- Neighbors are not friendly. Maybe its because I was 21 but I tried to smile and introduce myself to my neighbors in the first week. They all looked at me like I was a weirdo and obviously could not wait for me to shut up and leave them alone.
- Noise from outside.
- No rain gutters so when it rains, balcony gets soaked.
- Small washer and dryer facilities not worth your change. Obviously they want the tenants to rent a W/D for $40 a month since there's will only fit 2 pairs of clothes.
- No amenities (except pool)
Pro's:
- Never had a problem with bugs and they spray often enough so they will not be a problem (unless you are really dirty).
- Staff is good at responding to complaints and giving warnings to tenants (trash at front door, picking up after dogs)
- Maitenance never took too long to fix anything. My A/C didn't work at first and they fixed it less then 24 hours later. (granted my a/c should have worked when I moved in.)
- Large floor plan for price.
A weird thing I noticed was that in my year and a half of living there I had 5 different people rent the apartment below me. Obviously these people broke there leases to get out of this complex. I have also heard of cars being broken into, but my 30,000 ford never got touched and I even left the doors open a few times.
All in all the complex is not bad, but I didn't take any great memories from it. Nothing about the apartment impresses and the "Home" feel is just not there.
