I have lived here for over 10 years. Main reason I have not moved is I am too lazy to do so! Apartment management is very nice, very friendly, but, as noted by other writers, NEVER return phone calls. I have had to be downright beligerant on the messages I have left to get anyone to call me. Sometimes it takes repeated calls to get maintenance done, but they always do it. Critical things like AC or backed up toilet, they fix right away. Never had any parking problems, I drive a mid-size car.
It is a high crime area. All of Woodmeadow Pkwy is. We are on the "good" end of the street and have less than others, but I have had a car stolen. There have been shootings, and at least one domestic violence murder. Drug dealers abound. They are everywhere, really. I hear people pounding on neighbor's doors at all hours demanding entry. Next door neighbor had to run to my apt once to avoid being beaten by boyfriend.
Grounds are very neat. Trash picked up regularly. Most of my neighbors are very friendly.
Had a friend who was looking to move a member of their family in here, I advised them NOT to do so. Management has consistently messed up my lease agreements, taking two weeks into the following lease period once to even get me a new lease to sign! They have made billing errors, threatening to move me out because they did not keep accurate records. That, and the crime are reason enough NOT to move here.
As soon as I find something reasonable (the prices here ARE good), I will be moving.
