I work for an apartment locator and have worked with this property for years. We never received complaints from our clients because apparently most people would rather suffer in silence. Only after I lived at this property did I find out not only was my experience HORRIBLE, but I went back 3 years to former clients and discoverd they all had a horrible experience but didn't know what to do about it. Thank goodnes for this site.
Imoved in because as a locator the staff was soooo sweet. Once I got in they apparently decided another sucker had been screwed and there true colors came through. They mangement was AWFUL. I went in at least once a week to pick up a package and they NEVER knew who I was or remembered I was a resident there. Our downstairs neighbor had a dog that they put on the porch during the day that barked incessantly and we got written warnings and eviction threats until one ay my romate and I personally walked the manager to the neighbors apartment so she could hear for herself. We did not even get anapology. Maintainance would take months to fix a problem and only because we called and called and when one of our toilets stopped up they took 2 weeks to come fix it because we were in a 2B/2B apartment and it was not an emergency. They failed the fire safety inspection and came in to bring the sprinklers up to code which left nasty water damage on the walls which they tried to charge us for (more on that to follow). My room was right by the stairwel and the walls wer so thin I could hear peopl stomping up the step at all hours of the day and night. I would come home late from work on the weekends and there was always 1 or 2 police cars theres arresting someone. My inspection sticker expired and the very next day I had a sticker on my window saying if it wasn't brought up to code in 24 hrs. my car would be towed. My roomate had a flat overnight and not only came out to a slashed tire the next mornign another damn sticker threatening towing. Cars were stolen and the community never notified, mailboxes broken into and the mangement cliamed we must have someone that hated us trying to vandalize us. Picking up packages was a nightmare since they would misplace them or another staff member had locked them up for safe keeping and weren't there and thery were the only one with a key. My car was broken into and my gate key stolen and I understood they needed to charge me another $25 for a new one, but they didn't have any and refused to order new ones until there was enough of a demand. I spent a month of Saturdays's waiting outside the gate for someone to drive through. One month my rent check bounced costing me almost $200 ($50 late fee, $50 bounced check fee and $10 daily until balnce paid). It was an error on my banks behalf, my bank wrote a notarized statement stating the mistake, aplogozing and paid the bounced check fee and the property inisted I pay the remaining fees and threatend to evict me if I didn't. And when we moved out, the real drama started. They refused to do a final walk thru because they were too busy. We had the appartment professionally cleaned when we moved out. This community sent us a bill for the apartment over $300 for supposed cleaning fees despite the receipt we had from the agency that cleaned out the apartment, and for pet stain removal when we didn't even have a pet and then claimed they were cutting us a deal as they actually had to recarpet the whole unit and they tried to hit us with the water damage spots going down the wall from the sprinklers they serviced. i tried talkng to corporate in Colorodo and turns our Pam was the former corporate manager up there and sent down here to make things better (yikes!). An associate of mine went to view the apartment a few weeks after we moved out as a "prospective resident" and said they had not repalced the carpet or even fixed the water damage from the sprinkles. I loathed my experience at this property, the management I despise, I definatly DO NOT refer clients here and tell anyone who mentions the place to avoid it like the flu. I hate to bash anyone or anything, but this place - the truth must be told and the public warned!
