Pros and Cons

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
When I moved in, I had a one bedroom den. It was very nice due to the fact that it had been recently renovated. I was under the impression that ALL of the apartments were being renovated. Unfortunately that was not the case, as when I changed apts in 2002, many of the apts were in HORRIBLE condition. From broken blinds, to discolored bathroom tiles, to ripped linoleum on the floor. Awful. In addition to this, the office staff is very uncaring and beligerent. They are very inexperienced in comparison to some complexes i have lived in, and have the attitude that once you live there, you are no longer in a position to make requests. I think the actual complex manager is fairly new and seems to be nice, so we will see if any of this rubs off on the actual staff. On top of this, I had no idea that in order to change apts, I had to complete the application process ALL OVER AGAIN...including deposits, fees, the works! Had I known this, I would never have taken this apt, because I adjust my space needs often(about once every 2 years). I have a noisy neighbor above me. The mailbox has been broken into several times. Although, repairs are usually prompt, and generally Im left alone(which I like). If you can deal with a rude staff and not being allowed freedom to move around without putting a dent in your pocket, this place may be ok.
