Paying out the nose for electric is what you will find in this community. The A/C units are falling apart and there is no insulation in the walls. The A/C unit is severly undersized and cannot properly cool my apartment. My A/C unit went out 3 TIMES IN JULY 2008 costing me $300 in electric bills FOR ONE MONTH! This year I added a large oscillating fan in the living room and added heavy black out drapes to all my windows and sliding glass door, but to no avail. I have all my ceiling fans on high day and night. I cannot turn them off or the air will get even hotter. The A/C will not cool my 1 BR unit past 75 degrees. If I turn the air up, the A/C just runs longer and harder to cool the apartment. And no matter how long the A/C runs, it never cools the unit past 72 degrees anyway. I live here too... my apartment cools perfectly! You cannot please everyone obviously there are just people you can never please, we live in TX!! not Alaska, it's hot, you have to get used to it.

I experience the same problems with my apartment not cooling properly. In fact, my AC also went out 3 times before they searched (did their job) and found the underlying problem. I still pay a ridiculous amount in electric bills and rarely use it. My bill was $300 this month due to the low voltage problem and I assure you I will not be paying all of it. We realize this is Texas, we also realize the severe reprecussions that can come from Texas heat-especially when your AC is broken. Oh and waking up in a sweat every morning the Second sun breaks is no coincidence. No insulation, poor circulation-it's a wonder there aren't more complaints on here, I hear this complaint all over the complex.
