This review should have ZERO stars!
Anyway I've lived here for 5 months and this complex is a disaster. It's unsafe, unsanitary, and the leasing staff and maintenance are extremely incompetent.
I've had the exact same maintenance problems since I moved in, and now there is new management -just as bad as the old management (nessel). This is a joke! The apartments are nice enough... from a far enough distance. After you live here for a week or two, you really realize what a dump it is, and how poorly the renovations are. Maintenance will either do a very poor job fixing your requests, or they will not get fixed at all.
There are drug dealers and generally trashy people living here, and the police are called on a consistent basis. Try walking your dog at night and seeing the police arrest someone. NOT fun. Noise is a huge issue, as are the general conditions of this complex. The pool over the summer was pretty much unusable because it was always green; There is standing water everywhere; I moved in and found out the 2nd day I was here that 'other residents' moved in first - COCKROACHES! gross!
My apartment wasn't even ready, even though management and staff knew about 2 months in advance when I was moving in, and I could NOT look at the apartment before I moved in, either. It was dirty, and half of the appliances didn't work.
The staff flat out lies to you, no one knows anything in the leasing office whatsoever, and are pretty much running out all the 'good' tenants - I pay my rent on time, every month, have never had any lease violations, and I can't wait til my lease is up.
did not move here and pay this much rent to live with drug dealers and trashy people; which btw, I see that rent prices on their website have lowered substantially since then to fill all the empty units.

I am a resident at Lavita as well and none of the things in this review I find to be true. The pool has NEVER been green, they have the best maintenance staff and the office staff is fabulous. I can also tell you that the people who live in this complex are fabulous!
