Yes it's cheap - but unfortunately you get what you pay for

I am entering month six of a twelve month lease, and I cringe to think that I will have to serve out the full length of this sentence, er, I mean contract.
The move here was all about money. Cheap rent! Free work-out facility!
Only I haven't been able to save a penny since moving-in. I spend every dime I make on some form of escape or another, trying desperately to avoid spending any time at "home".
Here is a brief list of the problems experienced since January and the length of time that it took to get the problem fixed: NO HEAT AT MOVE-IN (2 weeks), BROKEN TOILET (3 weeks of half-ass attempts), BROKEN A/C (2 seperate occasions, 2 weeks each), BROKEN DOORKNOB (3 different times - same door, 1 week each), BROKEN DISPOSAL, DISHWASHER, AND ANTS IN KITCHEN (3 weeks and counting). All of that in the first 5 months! I would say that we've paid for amenities that have worked properly for no more than 30 days total in this time.
Oh, and wait - I almost forgot. The electric bill has been inconsistent (they use a janky commercial company in Florida'''), we've had to change phone companys 3 TIMES (because of some sort of weird apartment dual-contractual ----), our rented washer/dryer unit has ruined over $200 worth of clothes, and the work-out room is useless.
Add to this the complete and utter incompetence of the understaffed maintenance crew, and the seemingly unconcerned management and you've got a nightmare.
But, hey, you do save a lot on the rent!
