Lived there for two years... mixed emotions about it all.

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
Things I liked about the place:
My unit worked well. The only big problem I had during my stay there was an old water heater that would pour out rather rusty water. They eventually replaced it. It was spacious, cheap and a good location close to SMU.
Things I didn't like about the place:
- Security is non-existent. I had roommates for 9 months and during those 9 months both of their cars were broken into.
- Getting something fixed takes forever.
- Management is at best inept at worst, corrupt. There were some rent issues during a couple of months. I knew that I was going to be out of the country for two months so I prepaid for those months. When I got back I found an eviction notice on my door. Fortunately everything got straightened out, but I was surprised that the management couldn't keep track of these payments even after getting receipted payments and giving written and verbal notices of the situation, clearing it with the managers, etc.
My biggest beef about the place was that two years after I have left there I get a call from a collection agency asking for $600. It turns out that they believed that I had destroyed their carpet and that the deposit wouldn't cover the replacement. Firstly, I left the place in better condition that I found it. Secondly, they said that they would replace the carpet when I moved in... which they never did.
I never paid the money because I don't believe that they are being truthful and that they are trying to get as much money out of a dying property as they can.
