Madison

 

Residing at The Madison was a horrible experience, to say the least.

The a/c went out several times-during my one year stay.

Once it took several days before someone came and fixed it.

It was noisy and there were always people hanging around outside/ around my door.

They give you a gate card..but I'm not sure why, since the gates were ALWAYS open- welcoming anyone in!! I moved out in Feb of 09.

I did everything as I was supposed to.

I gave my notice.

I cleaned the apartment.

I turned in all keys and the gate card.

Several months later I received a final bill; showing I was charged for cleaning fees, gate card, mailbox and apartments keys.

I was not concerned w/ the cleaning fees, but was upset that I was charged for the keys and gate card since I turned them in.

I made MANY attempts to contact the office and informed them these items had been returned.

Everytime I called, I was told this matter would be looked in to and that I would get a returned call the next day.

I never received a response.

I called today and spoke with a woman named Carla who informed me that she has no way of knowing if I turned these in.

I asked why would I keep keys to somewhere I have no intention of going' She was very rude and basically told me that I owe the balance and hung up on me.

I am very upset.

The balance is only about $60, but the fact is, I turned them in.

I am not going to pay for something I don't have.

If she can't PROVE I turned them in, then how can she PROVE I didn't.

This is not a good place to live and the people in the leasing office are only friendly when you are inquiring about leasing w/ them.

Once you're in..it's another story!!! There are other places w/ decent rent! Don't waste your time here!!!
