Stay as far away as you can

I moved here just a couple of months ago and I started having problems the very first day I moved in. When the keys were handed to me I came to look at the apartment only to find it to be filthy, the carpet was old, spider-webs and bugs on the walls, broken blinds, broken toilet, broken window frame, the bathtub was stained yellow, the doors to the bedrooms wouldn't even shut and I had to push the front door in for it to lock properly. I reported all my problems to the office and complained as to why the apartment hadn't been cleaned prior to my move in date and I was told they would take care of it within 24 hours but I only had the toilet fixed and no one else came back to do a single thing.
About a month later I began having pest problems, when according to them pest control comes out every Monday; my home was filled with bugs and I was forced to throw everything out in my pantry because it became infested!!! When I reported it to the office I was told that it was my own fault for not cleaning enough, when I am a clean freak!!!! I continuously have to clean with Clorox and spray Raid to try and prevent this problem but they just keep coming back, and pest control seems to be on vacation.
The parking is horrible!!! I have nearly had my car crashed into more then 10 times in this parking garage. I thought it would be great to have covered parking and to get to park at your floor level when I first moved in, but I was completely wrong! The garage was so badly designed that you can't see when cars are coming and once you do they're about to crash into you. Also at times the parking spaces are all taken that you can't even park at your level, mainly because they have a lot of reserved parking spaces (which is no longer offered) and you will get towed if you park in them (there is a tow truck driving through the garage checking what cars to take almost every other night). They also have a "security" guard hanging around in a golf cart at night but what good is a security guard if he is asleep!!!!
Another problem is the gate, when its closed I can't open it with the remote because its broken and when its open (broken 85% of the time) anyone can get in and out as they please.
Bottom line is, the front office people are H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E (never willing to help, constantly give attitude, never answer the phone), the apartments themselves are average you could get more for your money elsewhere (if you're unlucky enough you will be able to look out your window and see what the person in the other apartment is doing since the apartment buildings are so close to one another), parking is Terrible and they have a serious pest problem. I can't wait until my lease is up!!!

You are so right! I'm moving far away when my lease is up. Best I can tell you is to email CWS Corporation and let them know what is going on. The manager here has no idea what she is doing and she has no backbone.

Well someone seems to be severely upset about the comment that I made regarding Marquis at Park Central. First off this was definitely not an upgrade but rather a downgrade to be able to save up enough money to buy a home within the next year, with a big down payment, and you will be happy to know that I do not come from a trailer park and have never lived in one. Second of all, the cheap and messy work that is being done to the property doesn't make it any better the bugs will still be there and so will the terrible service the front office provides. Maybe you should go back and read the original comment that states I have a SEVERE problem with bugs here not just one or two, try living in my apartment for a week and tell me how happy you would be having to throw all your food away because it has become infested with bugs. And as far as the parking is concerned I do not drive 30 mph or make wide turns, I don??t think I could with my small car, the other vehicles that are driving like idiots are the ones that nearly crash into my car and I would think that would be a problem to anyone. Finally if you think ??no one will listen to us?? well apparently you did, and if you really think that the office manager is really good at dealing with the problems the residents are having then maybe you should put in a good word for me and ask her to come to my apartment to help me clean with Clorox and she might even be willing to reimburse me for all the groceries I had to throw out rather than saying I??m not cleaning enough??.

Responding to the 2 cry babies above, The Marquis at Park Central has to be a big upgrade from the trailer park you moved out of.How about closing your mouth with all your stupid complaining and open your eyes to all the work that has been done to the property recently. You're in TEXAS dumbass there's going to be bugs here and there!!And for the parking garage, you're prbably one of the idiots that drives like 30 mph and makes wide turns and blames the other residents cause your just that stupid. And I don't think that anybody will even listen to what you're saying, cause the 2 of you are just the kind of people who don't get their way about something and uses the card "I'm going to call corporate office".Find something better to do with your time CRY BABIES!!!Oh, and if the manager has no backbone, then how is it that you'll find her dealing onsite with any issues that happen ,rather it's in the office or at 3:00 in the morning. You can find her doing her job, not hiding in her office.

I think if you have so many issues with the property and it is just THAT bad. Then maybe you should move. It's what...2 grand to break a lease? I mean if your so upset that you want to anonymously complain about how horrible your living conditions are (which is probably your fault, take your trash out) then move. I'm on the first floor...and I have no bug problems. In theory mine should be worse because I am on the first floor. As for reserved spaces, they do still offer them. They are 25 a month. If you go to the office and you speak with the girls (which i'm guessing you have not since you think they are horrible...these ladies are beyond nice to everyone...even the rude jerks that come in screaming because they don't understand that living in an apartment means that its not going to be 100% quiet) they will be more than happy to help you and make sure things are better for you. They aren't here to make your life miserable, they are here to make this a better place. The entire staff here is so very helpful, even at 4 in the morning. I've called because of a leak that flooded my apartment, they were here in no time to clean up the mess and get it fixed. I think your a spoiled brat that doesn't have the guts to speak out and has to head behind a computer screen. If the problems were so bad, you'd be complaining to management...not your keyboard.
