Better suited for college kids

It was really surprising to me that this place claimed to cater to young professionals, because the residents of this community remind me more of spoiled SMU brats with daddy paying the rent for them to live off campus. My apartment was nice, but overpriced for the amenities. You definitely pay for the location here, since its within walking distance of so many things.
Gym facilities were OK, but the pool is way too small for the size of this building and amount of people that live in it. I would have loved to use it, but its always super crowded during convenient times and groups of MTV Spring Break-types come in on the weekends and pretty much take it over. To add to that, there are a bunch of trees around the pool and lots of debris blows into it, which looks kind of icky.
This community is especially loud. I was also told that its not noticeable when I looked at the place, and it is totally noticeable. The retail parking garage can sometimes have multiple car alarms going off in it, tons of traffic noise from the street, misc. noise from the garage like people honking their horns, etc. Granted, some of that is to be expected from an urban apartment. The noise from other tenants, however, can be an issue. The walls between apartments are not especially thick and sometimes you can be unlucky enough to live next to someone who has no consideration for their neighbours with regard to the volume of their music.
Security here is pretty much worthless. If you call them, they do not put reports in to the office. If you want the office to know about a problem you have been having, you have to tell them yourself. Once they hear about it, they will act on it which was good, but dont expect security and the office to work together.
It was nice living so close to a ton of stores, and the trolley, etc. but the noise and price of this place don't really make it worth it. Save it for the college kids.
