I am so ready to move out next month. When I moved in there was a STRICT POLICY that you must be 25 years of age to rent here. That was a big reason why I rented here two years ago. So there would be no SMU kids!! Well, the old manager enforecd it but the new manager has opened the flood gates. Today there were 20 frat guys in the pool with beer bottles and girls drinking out of glass wine bottles. No one enforced the no glass at pool rule. IN fact, they do not enforce any rules. A little brown dog, although cute, was taking a dump right next to the pool in the bushes. While his owner was too busy smoking a cigarette and drinking wine to even notice...disgusting!!!! This place is turning into a disaster area. Who the hell let kids move in here...bad manager!!!! Please bring Carrie back to make this place classy again. I have already given my 60 days and only have a couple of weeks left. If you are a professional, you will hate it here. Someone today quoted it as being like "the village" ....awful. Do not rent here. Try the Ashton or Trianon for classier bunch. Plus their rent is much lower...all you are paying for here is MTV beach party on the weekends. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT RENTING NEAR THE POOL...I haven't sept since I moved here. Also, the manger could care less about keeping good longtime residents. She's rather get new people in here who will pay more rent...and several people think this as well...see for yourself...stop by on a Saturday or Sunday and check out the pool scene-LOW RENT!

I am COMPLETE agreement with you. Unfortunately, I am stuck here for a few more months and can't wait. The new manager, although nice, is very passive and does not enforce any rules. Carrie was great and I will say when she was here, there were no college kids living here, 4 stuffed in a 1 bedroom to afford the rent i guess. The pool is a nightmare on the weekends. It is like being on spring break in Cancun. AWFUL.

Guys, Okay...Word to the wise. If you rent an apartment next to a pool, you must realize that you are going to hear noise in the summer. Did you expect that the pool area would be quiet when you moved in??? Get real! Put yourself in Kelly's place. What else can she do other than provide security and tell people to stop doing things. She can't patrol the apartments with a clipboard all day. I am so tired of everyone complaining and then residents vandalizing and stealing things from the common areas. Grow up or move out! Or if you are going to open your mouth, at least provide Kelly with a suggestion of what you think she should do. I have not witnessed either manager lying-that is an odd comment. (And no, this is not the manager.) I don't face the pool for that reason..so think before living at the pool or transfer. It's not like Kelly hasn't tried to accomodate those that want to transfer. Put yourself in her shoes for a second before you start complaining. I think she has addressed every concern promptly that I brought to her attention. If you are just bitter about something else in your life, stop taking it out on the apartments!!

Why don't you complaining whiners try to be manager for the week? You probably couldn't do it, as you would be too busy vandalizing the own building you live in or writing bad responses on here. Kelly is not the enemy. She has obviously addressed issues here, as evidenced by the crime watch meeting and the newsletter. Although I continue to see the same person day after day with her dog, Kelly is not the police. you can only do so much. The problem is that Kelly cannot check IQs of the morons living here when they sign their lease. That is the issue. They are ones vandalizing place and acting like "frat" kids. Have you ever seen Kelly breaking exit signs or getting wasted in pool? No, that is probably you or your frat brother that doesn't live here who comes on weekends to our pool. If you don't like it here, just move. As for the pool, I live by the pool and although noisy, that comes with the territory. Instead of wasting your time on here, use it to find another place to live if you are that bitter!! If you were nice to the staff, you would realize how awesome our maintance and security team are.

Carrie was the worst manager of all time! She lied about absolutely everything. You need to go back to the original manager for classey. The decent down started with the dumb blond carrie and continues with the equally stupid current manager. They both are distroying this building and both lie and both never get anythig done. Marquis needs to hire smart women or men to manage this place not bimbos!
