i just want to address the rude person that commented before me...THANK GOD you are moving out. First of all, there has NEVER been an age limit for our apartments (its called age discrimination) second of all...YOU LIVE BY THE POOL...what do you expect...a freakin nature scene' it isnt going to happen. and last but not least...you picked an apartment in the center of uptown! wow, i wonder what kind of people are going to live there. There isnt anything wrong with the manager, its people like you that make her want new people to move in...SO YOU WILL MOVE THE HELL OUT! so instead of bashing her and the residents...take your happy ass to a cheaper, "safer" property (because im sure people that pay less for their rent will think and act like you...a "professional") because our community is probably safer without you there.

This person is an idiot. The community was ALWAYS an ADULT community with no CHILDREN and NO SMOKING. Carrie reversed that since she was a foul mouthed smoker and and the current manager continues that policy. When I moved here in the begining there was NO SMOKING AND NO CHILDREN. The quality of the current new residence HAS fallen dramatically and is mostly young, unsophisticated party types that have no respect for the property or the neighbors. They have sex at 3:00am in the hot tube, leave their trash bags outside their doors until they "feel" like not being lazy and walk it to the trash shoot and steal shopping carts from Walgreens and Albertsons leaving them in the elevator lobbys instead of investing in a personal cart. Rich white trash. Probably like "anonymous".

I worked at Mckinney for two years and there was NEVER no smoking and no kids. You have no clue what you are talking about. Carrie was liked by many of the residents, the ones that were hard to deal with were the ones that never paid rent on time or at all. I really wish I could figure out who you are because I knew everybody in the building, and I feel like you are just full of hate and I am sorry you don't like kids. I am really sad for you and I think maybe you should move.

Ummm...armwrestleboy, you are an idiot! It is illegal to claim to be non smoking with no children. Have you ever heard of fair housing? Did you sign paper work that stated no children were allowed? Of course not you freaking dumb ass. My suggestion to you is move out of the city to where you can be all by yourself.

Wow, what scares me the most is the hatred coming from people that are supposed to be my neighbors!!! I would like to agree with "armwrestleboy" about the ADULT COMMUNITY. I am not sure where you get your information (clearly you are the manager here) BUT I have lived in many high end apts in Uptown and they can have an age limit and/or income requirement to live there WITHOUT it being called age discrimination. The smoking here is absurd. Any given night you can find a random outside by pool smoking. Then the next day poor maintenance staff has to pick up their butts. I don't care about the smokers as much as I do the quality and ages of people that live here now that NEVER did when other people were managers here. It is a shame this has turned into party central, with 22 yr olds boozing it up at all hours while other people like me, YOUNG PROFRESSIONAL, are trying to sleep because we actually work for a living and Daddy doesn't pay our rent. SMU kids belong in the Village, not here. As for the "anonymous" person's suggestion we move, trust me. We would if it wasn't for a thing called a LEASE!! Anonymous, you need to get some anger mgmt classes.

No..this is NOT THE MANAGER! It is against the law to discriminate against children (anyone under the age of 17)-if you have heard of a place that does they are breaking the law. Also, THIS community allows anyone 18 years and older who QUALIFY to live in the apartments. If you have questions about what qualifies people to live here look at the rental criteria you signed when you initially leased your apartment. These rules also apply to families with children!!! You can not require someone to not smoke in the apartments unless you are a private owner and not regulated by the Texas Apartment Association. This part of town is a place that alot of people who are in college want to live. Bar scene, night life, access to other areas of Dallas. It's unfortunate that some "college kids" are irresponsible and disrespectful to their neighbors, but that's just life!! In the suburbs you will not deal with this as much. Why is this so difficult for most of you to understand?! You live in the most diverse part of the metroplex! You are/were making assumptions if you ever felt like there was a policy not allowing "certain" people to live in the apartments. If you ever question the rules of living in an apartment you must always refer back to written legal documents..not "he said, she said." The community would have been sued along time ago if that were the case!!! If you don't believe me look up Federal Fair Housing laws and what the protected and un-protected classes are! There are some communities that will not lease to people who are considered "under graduates." That does not specify a certain age. This community is not one of those, so if you want that type of atmosphere you'll have to move elsewhere when your lease is up.
