It's like living in the ghetto

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004
Within 1 year's time, my car was broken into 5 times, a neighbor had a gun pointed at him by a guy breaking into a car, I have walked up onto 2 guys breaking into cars (when I had to leave at 4am for work one morning) and nobody in the office seemed to care. I complained about these instances several times and one time suggested to the manager that she should maybe send out a letter to the residents just reminding them to be careful when out after dark. I was told a flat out no because it wasn't her responsibility. Check the crime statistics for the apartment complex through the Dallas police. It's incredibly high.
Nothing gets fixed unless you go postal on someone in the office. I had termites and they wouldn't get someone out there for a week. In the mean time they swarmed my apartment and I have a large hole in my bathroom wall where they ate through. I'm willing to bet anything they will charge me for it when I move out. The manager was VERY unsympathetic to the situation and gave me a bad attitude as if I was crazy for asking them to do anything about the termites.
If you can find somewhere else to live...do it. THis place is NOT worth your safety and patience.
