Big Mistake

My husband and I moved into this complex thinking this would be the last apartment we lived in before making the last step toward a house. Not anymore; as soon as our lease is up we are moving far away from here.
The first problem we had was the ancient dishwasher had a leaking problem and flooded the dining room. We notified the office and they came and fixed the dishwasher and replaced the pad under the carpet. Okay, cool.
The next problem we've had is still in the process of being taken care of 2 months after I first reported the problem. We had some heavy rain for quite a few days in a row and we realized that there was water coming up underneath the carpet in the bedroom. We told the office and they actually told us that this unit had had this problem in the past! Why are they renting a unit to people with this kind of problem'' We've had some furniture damage from the water.
They always want to seem to try some "quick fix" too. Anything that they can try to keep them from getting a qualified person to look at the problem. Needless to say, nothing has worked. My husband and I are now sleeping in our dining room, because our bedroom is completely inhabitable. Not to mention the fact that there is a sickening mildew smell in the bedroom now and half of the carpet and padding has been pulled back.
I am VERY unhappy with Marsh Creek management as well. I've been very patient and respectfull when dealing with them. On the other hand, they have been acting like we are a total inconvenience to them during all of this.
They say a happy customer will tell at least 5 friends, and an unhappy customer will tell at least twice that many. I hope a lot of people will read this and think twice.
