I lived at McMillan Place for almost 2 years. There were constant problems with the air conditioning and the neighborhood was going downhill (2 people were shot at McMillan while I lived there,in separate incidents, one died) But the rent was cheap and I was broke so I stayed. The real problem came when I moved out. I followed the instructions on my lease and notified the management (30 days prior) that I was leaving at the end of my contract. They tried to lure me back with incentives, but I had made up my mind. 30 days after I left I recieved a letter stating that I owed them $600 dollars for skipping out on my lease!! I called several times, but nobody seemed to know anything about it. I left several messages for the management but never recieved a call back. They reported me to a collection service and now my credit rating has gone down. I don;t think this was a mistake on their part...it was an effort to extort money.
