Ever since the new management company Sun Chase Corporation took over this property it's gone down hill completely. I've been a resident of this apartment now going on seven years and have seen it steadily decline in those years. Now, it's worse than ever. The office management are non-helpful as well as unable to answer the most basic of questions. Recently (about a year ago), they introduced a reserved parking space program, one thing they failed to realize when creating this program is that you can't mark every single space reserved, this leaves no where to park for families that have two vehecles. Your lucky to find a place now to park and either have to end up parking on the property next door in hopes that your car doesn't get broken into or you have to park on the other side of the complex in hopes of finding a spot there. They could rectify this issue by simply doing away with the reserved parking system, but don't because it generates extra money for them. I recently transferred to another unit here and I'm beginning to ask myself why did I even stay' I've requested maintenance assistance on my apartment repeated times but no one has ever come. There are so many fire hazards as well as general problems with the building that it's just going to be a matter of time before someone sue's Sun Chase. Everything from faulty appliances, electrical wiring issues, rodent and pest issues, faulty and dangerous gutter drainage issues. (Some of the gutters on these buildings are barely being supported by a bolt or two and they just dangle there). Don't bother complaining to the office staff, they are young, just out of high school or they are drop-outs with 2 or 3 kids at 20 years of age. They are all arrogant and act as if your putting them out when you request something. Two of the office personal have gang tatoos that are plainly visible, others have trashy tatoos on the small of their backs or arms...it's like walking into WIC center in East Los Angeles or something. The parking situation is absolutely attrotious; Theie response on the parking situation is: "We've blocked out "some" reserved spots to open parking up. If you can't find any on your buildings side, sorry you'll just have to find somewhere else to park." That is an actual statement made to me on 7/16/2007 by one of the office staff. As far as security is concerned they have one security guard that drives around in a golf cart until around 3am, then he leaves. Historically, in the past 7 years of living on this property 95% of all crimes that have taken place are between the hours of 4am and 6am. There are constant drug transactions taking place, these happen at all hours even in broad daylight. I've contacted the City of Dallas about this and they tell me they are monitoring the situation, but it seems as if they aren't doing anything and they have been telling me this for over a year now. It's just going to be a matter of time before a drug deal goes bad and an innocent child that is playing nearby is killed or injured. Really folks, this is as sincere request as they come, if you need a place to live, avoid this property. There are safer more family friendly property's out there. With the parking, drugs, maintenance and office staff I'm almost fed up and am thinking about just leaving, I don't care if I break the contract at this point.
