NOT so great Mitchell Lofts in Dallas

It's about time that someone informs the general public about the rapid decline in the quality of life at the Mitchell Lofts in downtown Dallas! Having lived here for several years, I am certainly qualified to state the obvious....it gets worse by the day. Where do we begin' Maybe with the car vandalisms in the 'secure' garage! About once a month now, there is a vehicle being broken into and heavily damaged while someone chops the dashes out and steals whatever they can get. When you complain to management, they say they are 'sorry' and admit that the security cameras DON'T EVEN WORK. Of course, they don't offer to help pay for your damage. As far as security, the cameras in the main building don't record either, so don't think you are safe there as well. Don't even think about parking on the street, as the odds of getting your car trashed by the homeless and local bar drunks are almost a guarantee. You like dogs' So does everyone else that lives here, and you will LOVE being greeted by many of them as you walk past their doors as their barking echoes down the hallways, no matter what hour. If you are lucky you can even enjoy the wonderful scent of urine in the nasty stairwells (which we pray is that of dogs and not humans, but don't bet on it). Just walk in and take a look at the concrete stairs themselves. A nice blend of stains that will remind you of bathrooms even Britney Spears wouldn't walk in barefoot. Some residents seem to be operating kennels, they have so many dogs(including pit bulls). The pool is great, but can be small and crowded on a summer weekend! We used to have frequent, wonderful art shows, until someone decided to steal a piece of art right off the wall in the main building (good work security cameras). This sold piece of work was later found run over outside of the building. Ugh! The residents work hard and try to make this place a home. It seems they will just keep raising the rent on everyone while watching the quality of life of this building decline around us. Do yourself a favor and cross the Mitchell Lofts off of your list, unless you are a masochist, that is. If so, welcome home!
