Ask some questions before you sign a lease here ...

These lofts are some of the nicest I have ever seen in a beautiful historical building & the staff here are very nice people.
Maintenance service is beyond excellent, but ...
Some of the residents here are inconsiderate & make living here difficult - even getting some sleep!
A Management notice went out June 5 setting rules & guidelines for: pets, pool area & roof deck.
Since then large dogs still run loose in public areas unleashed & on the roof deck.
Closing the pool at 11pm has turned the deck into a party alternative for loud residents, at all hours their unleashed dogs & loud children playing on the roof deck.
You can hear dogs running up & down the roof deck area chasing toys.
Metal outdoor furniture is loudly moved around the deck repeatedly, at all hours.
The roof deck probably needs to be closed at 11pm, like the pool, to prevent damages to the Mitchell Loft property (all loft air conditioning units are at risk) or that of which can be considered to be a danger to life.
Residents & their dogs also run all over the roof, which besides being dangerous is very loud.
If you live on the 3rd floor, you will find that the lack of insulation makes the sounds on the roof deck sound like they will drop through your ceiling.
Walking through the stairwells you may run the risk of being approached by large unleashed dogs.
The new Management staff is working very hard to rectify problems created by a few inconsiderate residents.
Just make sure you find out the status of these issues before you sign a lease to live here ...
Sadly this Dallas landmark needs Management to change the behavior of some impolite residents, before I would recommend anyone sign or renew a lease here.
I hope things change soon!

As a longtime resident, this review is right on! It's continued to get worse instead of better. Too bad they won't take the proper steps to correct some of these issues, as this is not a cheap place to live. We deserve better.

I totally agree with this! I've been here (Mitchell Lofts) almost 3 years and the first time I moved in, it was great. Very professional and courteous neighbors and now...
1. MTV spring break parties at the pool
2. Dogs in the pool
3. People not picking up after themselves or dogs
4. Irritating Bass through out the day and night
5. Frankenstein Feet on Meth walking or running down the halls
I don't mind people parting and having a good time. Just not at the expense of other people trying to have a quiet evening. I know that this is deep ellum guys but geez...
