Preston Point Apartments

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/9/2008 Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008   I have lived in this apartment complex since October, 2006. The only reason I continue to stay is b/c we're saving for a home and ready to move out very soon.. The first year, everything was fine, except when I moved in the apartment had a horrible scent coming from the kitchen. Cleaned and BLEACHED everything in the kitchen, smell still came back. Purchased grocery and noticed dead bugs were falling on everything in the fridge and freezer. Reported this several times, nothing was done. One evening I decided the break everything down and found dead bugs in the motor of the fridge. I reported this and then the staff finally decided to tell me the previous tenant left food in the fridge and caused bugs and that terrible smell. I WAS PISSED!!!!! Secondly after the contract expires, the lease goes up $30... No improvements or anything, you're just giving away more money. The gates in the apartment are always malfunctioning. The fitness center is a JOKE!! I decided to join the gym down the street.... The staff are not friendly at all, they never try learn or get to know their tenants. Before signing the lease, they seem to be really nice, after the lease is signed, everything changes.... You will need to keep up with all your documents, make sure they sign and date everything you pay (lease, rent, utility) b/c the can't keep up with ANYTHING.... When you're told information about ur lease such as giving your notice to move out, get it in writing... They had will tell you inaccurate information and have no for in writing supporting.... There is little to no security. My relative's care was broken in twice and not a damn thing was done about it..... No increase in security, they only sent around flyers.... The staff are not friendly at all, you're just a number to them all.... I've even reported their behavior to the main office, nothing was done.... So, make sure you know what you're doing b/f you move in!!!!!
