My roommate and I went in on a Thursday and did a lk and ls. We were informed the TH would not be ready until Tuesday the following week because it was painted (still wet), the cleaning crew was coming to clean and the carpet was going to be cleaned following day. Also,that the washer/dryer was being delv'd on Tuesday morning. After entering the TH there was large amounts of visual pet hair along the base of the walls and railing of the stairwell. The bathrooms were filthy and not cleaned. There was no dryer and after 3 days it was delivered. I didn't mind the kitchen appliances being outdated but I did mind the kitchen being Dirty and Nasty. When bring all the issues to Mgmt, the office staff and mgr took a 'Oh Well' attitude. After about a week we informed mgmt we were moving out and wanted a full refund. The mgmt staff disputed refunding my monies and deposit. I had to contact the corp offices. It still took nearly three months to receive our refund via mail. Oh. By the way, the exercise facility (if you can call it that) was less than shabby.

You never should have received your refund to begin with. You did a last minute move in so obviously they had to work fast to accommidate you move. It's not their fault the cleaners were not up to par. And the exercise room is under renovation. All you had to do was ask to staff and they would have been happy to let you know what changes were being made. I did. Just because you were unhappy doesnt mean you can get your money back. The leasing business is not the customer service counter at wal-mart...

In response to the previous response, it sounds a tad bit like a staff response to me. All defensive. How long has the exercise room been under construction for (3yrs)?? And how exactly did you know that this person did a "last minute move" unless you were one of the managers in charge of getting this place cleaned? After tenants move out, the place should have been cleaned promptly. The customer service should be on par with any business as such, regardless of whether or not it is a "leasing business." If you fail to comply with contractual obligations, by all means, the renter will refund the concerning deposit in accordance with state laws for tenant protection rights, found under Chapter 92 of the Texas Property Code and federal Protection Act of 2006, the tenants will receive a refund for their deposit unless you're willing to take it to court and pay for all incurred fees. Let me know if you would like for me to provide a link to the Texas Attorney General's website concerning these tenant protection rights if you further question the legality of these and other such matters.

sound like the same thing that happened to us.. Never could get out depost back.. The Condo was alot cleaner than it was when we moved in it. We did Everything under there rules..We even showed them the Move in request form comments/repairs that we requested that were NEVER done.
