This place is horrible the building is in disrepair. When I first went there to view them I looked at a one bedroom. I was told at that time that the water bill is a fixed amount of $59 and that included garbage and sewer. When I went to fill out the application they didn't have any one bedroom units so I rented a 2 bedroom. I waited and waited for a bill for the water either on my door or in my maibox, never to receive one. I just got an eviction notice taped to my door stating that I owed them $119 and that if I didn't pay it by tomorrow they were going to file eviction paperwork. I had already paid my rent in full, so I went to the office and they told me that was for my $69 water bill plus a $50 fine for being late. I said I did not get a bill, she said, you do not get one, it is due when rent it due. I asked why the water bill had gone up from $59 to $69 and she said, it is $69 for the 2 bedroom, they did not tell me that when I rented the unit.

I lived there for a year and couldn t wait to get out. The only thing I did like about the apartment was the layout of the 2 bedroom unit and the great people that I met while living there. My immediate neighbors were very nice and their children were very well behaved.

For the first 6-8 months that I was there, BOTH of my toilets backed up with sewer water and when the lady upstairs flushed her toilet my bath tub filled up with nasty water. This happened about once a month. I was unable to use either toilet or the shower until a plumber came out and blew the system out at the sewer opening outside.

Right before Christmas a pipe burst between my apartment and the one upstairs, I came home to a flooded living room. The maintenance came and cut two holes in my ceiling fixed the leak and left cardboard covering the holes, one of them was about 2 to 3 feet in diameter. Then one man came to extract the water from the carpet ONE MAN!!! How is he going to move the furniture' They expected me to move the furniture. I am a 120 pound woman. They did not replace the carpet, only the pads, and it smelled like mildew all the time. I told the office and they told me to open the windows and air the place out I do not feel safe with my windows opened on the bottom level apartment and besides it was January!!! And one of the windows did not have a screen. They didn t come and finish my ceiling until I complained several times, finally showing up in March.

My dish washer did not have a silverware caddy and they told me that they didn t have any and that I could pick one up at the hardware store. The bottom rack in the dishwasher was the wrong one and it was in the way of the soap door and would not allow the soap dispenser to open during the wash cycle. I told them about it and they said that the maintenance man came out and when he turned the knob on the outside to cycle the washer it opened just fine. I told them what the problem was and they told me that was the right rack and that basically I was not using the dishwasher properly. At that point I was tired of arguing, I just hand washed my dishes.

During a storm a big tree next to the parking lot was uprooted and laid in the parking lot for 2 weeks before they removed it. It was hard to maneuver around to park. There is not enough parking spots as it is and they are so close together that it is very difficult to get in and out of your car if someone is parked next to you.

They did not tell me that visitors were not allowed to park in the lot, that they had to park in the street, so one evening while my boyfriend was visiting me they towed his car because he was not a resident and parking in the lot. Then while parking on the street, his car was the victim of a hit and run on the back driver s side door. And my neighbor had her vehicle stolen out of the parking lot.

I had a water leak in the floor of my master bath, come to find out it was sewer making its way up from the ground. Apparently maintenance came out, because there was no leak when I got home. That was on a Wednesday and on that following Monday I found out that my bank account had been drained. Checks had been forged and my driver s license number was on one of the checks. Apparently someone had access to my checking account information and a copy of my expired driver s license that disappeared from my apartment right after the water leak was fixed. I filed a police report for that.

Then when my boyfriend arrived at my apartment that same evening he noticed his Mac Book was missing along with my wireless mouse, a flash drive and my diamond tennis bracelet. The Mac Book had not been at the apartment from Wednesday to Sunday. No telling how many times they were in and out of the apartment over the weekend casing the place for goodies. We were at my boyfriend s place from Friday night until Sunday afternoon. He brought the laptop over Sunday afternoon and left it there during the day Monday while he was at work. Some one entered my apartment on Monday, and took those items and there was no forced entry. We filed another police report and the officer was pretty sure that the two incidents were related and that it was someone that had a key to my apartment MAINTENANCE!!! It doesn t take rocket science to figure that out. They even left my back bedroom window unlocked so that they could come back later one night to clean me out. I changed my locks for the remainder of my lease and since my lease was almost up I gave my 30 day notice.
