I am just now moving in, but let me say that the leasing person was very helpful. I've just moved out of a real dump that never fixed anything and constantly moved in smokers of every substance under the sun, and this place was definitely a breath of fresh air. They have done everything possible to make sure that I moved into a somewhat clean, good apartment with everything in working order. The carpet is a mess, but there's nothing I can do about it now. It's affordable and everything you need is very nearby. It is right beside the tollway so you get that noise, which can be annoying, but convenient nonetheless.
(NOVEMBER UPDATE)
It's been a few months (November now) and still no problems to speak of. The painting did take forever, and the construction did seem to take eons to complete, but I don't suppose that it could have gone any faster with the weather we had. On the up side, it does look a little nicer around here. There are new people in the office, but they seem pretty friendly -- except for one. She is really hateful and unhelpful. I suppose there has to be one in every crowd.
(December update)
As my lease is approaching it's fulfillment, I was expecting some incentive to remain at Renaissance Parc. Instead, I got a note saying my rent was going up and that if I sign a 12 month lease, they'd deduct $5 a month off my rent. So I guess I could pay more to live here and enjoy a whopping extra five bucks -- or I could go to The Courts and live in a nicer apartment with indoor parking for the same price. Sure, it's not a drastic increase, but it's annoying nonetheless. The staff here is increasingly rude, also -- for no reason.

I renewed my lease till August, just because I'm too busy to move right now.
Parking has gotten better now, also. I haven't noticed any visitors parking in resident's spaces anymore. The office staff is still the same -- just plain rude and unable to answer simple questions. It's getting a little out of hand.
(June 2008)
I am a very easy to please kind of person. I generally don't complain and have a lot of understanding for people that work in places that don't pay very well and are understaffed. But this place has just gone overboard. Some of the staff are often rude and very often argumentative. Even the smallest problems are major issues. Maintenance has problems. They tap things with a screwdriver (quite literally) and hope for the best. I won't be renewing my lease here and don't recommend you sign anything at Renaissance Parc based on first impressions. Trust me, the smile will quickly fade.

I would definitely recommend you look elsewhere. You can go to The Courts and get a cleaner and safer apartment, indoor parking, staff that doesn't argue constantly and service you can enjoy -- FOR THE SAME PRICE as this place. There are also apartments further north on Preston that are equal to this place and less expensive.
Just save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

Keep it up...I've been living in a houses for the past 15 years. Not thrilled about returning to an apartment, but it's reviews like this that make it less painful. I'll check this place out.

Great review! There seems to be so many contrasting reviews but reading yours just makes a lot of sense! Thanks :)

I agree I have been here for two years but they started new management in June and finally becamne fully staffed in July with mgmnt from Davenport which is a real dump. Since then maintance has been sorry, you have to call several times to get things done over and over again. the staff is rude and the new Manager is horrible. With things being the way they are I am probably not going to renew my lease which is up in six months. New staff and horrible mgmnt is making this place go down hill FAST.
