Ok, I have read through the reviews of this building and agree with most of the negative points.

There is dog poop everywhere. The staircases often have vomit-urine-trash in them, the roof is an obsolute MESS. The surfce is coming away from the roof so there are pot holes, rips in the material, pools of water.

Surrounding the pool it is worse, probably due to high traffic. The barbeques are disgusting, the "sausa" doesnt get hot, the hot tubs should be avoided as people get "too hot" in there if you know what I mean, and I have never known them to look clean.

The fans on the roof drown out the traffic noise, but sadly also conversations.

Parking, this has improved slightly, but with Gilleys opening you get people waiting for the gates to open then they follow you in. THe staff check the parking during the day, but rarely if ever at night. I get pi88ed when the lot is full. I dont see the addition of Poor Davids as helping matters.

The lofts are cool, great value. IF you discount the fact that the walls are as effective as paper in stopping sound. The hardwood floors run under all walls so if you neigbour is walking up and down it sounds like they are in your apartment.

The floors have nails with spring out every now and again due to the old age, I have had 3 stick in my foot.

The trash shute is always blocked and so you are expected to take you trash to the dumpsters located one at each end of the building. Doesnt sound too bad but it can be a 10 minute walk if you live at one end of the building.

The desk and courtesy staff are great, I will agree totally on that!

As for the discussion about artists, most seem to be moving out, and as for the number of shows, this has dropped from at least one a week 2 years ago to once a month if lucky.

We have also had college students move in next door, and they are noisy.

To conclude, reading the brochure makes it look great, but take a look for yourself. The roof has supposed to be fixed for 5 years.......still nothing so igonreo whatever they tell you.

Basically judge the building as is. I understand the owner is trying to sell it so there will be no major investments I beleive....

The coffee shop is great if you live or park on that end of the building otherwise its too far....

Basically this building is great in THEORY but the reality sucks.
