South Side On Lamar

My husband and I moved here in July 2002 and we have loved every minute of our time here. We have watched the services increase to include art galleries, dry cleaner, video rental, mini-mart, and righteous coffee house. Every month there is a loft party sponsored by the management and we have met incredible people at each. We enjoy getting together with our neighbors for dinner and to watch videos or to just talk in the halls and common areas.
The building is large, old and absolutely charming. Everything in the apartments such as cabinetry and inner walls and fixtures is brand new and well maintained. Maintenance takes care of AC filters and light bulbs, drains etc. Brent the maintenance fellow is incredible, efficient and one of the kindest people. If a renter wants a new building, they should consider carefully before renting here. This building is all about, aged grace, history, community and living peacefully together. This is one of the heritage centers of downtown Dallas and I am delighted with living here warts and all.
We are leasing for a third year and are moving into a loft that is a bit larger down the hall. We wouldn't make that commitment if it wasn't a top property!
