A Place with EVERYTHING!!!

We have lived at South Side for a year now. It's time to renew our lease and we are excited to do it.
This is a great place to live. Everything about it is fantastic: the management, office staff, maintenance, security, concierge. Everyone is friendly, courteous, there when you need them, and treat the tenants like we're all important people.
The management (which is fairly new and a huge imporvement) will go out of their way to work with you if you need it. The concierge is always ready to help with any questions, problems, or needs you may have.
Maintenance is the BEST! You have a problem with anything and they're there almost immediately - always the same day, never more than an hour or two, if that long. They even change your light bulbs for you. :-)
Security is everywhere 24/7. They're in the hallways, stairwells, parking lots, garage, out front, on the roof. It's a good feeling knowing there's always someone around watching and keeping a close eye on things.
The hallways and common areas are always fresh and clean. We haven't seen any bugs such as roaches, etc. rats or anything. They exterminate often to make sure of that.
The leases may be expensive, but you completely get your money's worth. The lofts here are twice as large as any other apartments or lofts anywhere in Dallas, but the cost is at least half of what you would pay anywhere else.
There is a convenient store downstairs along with a video store, coffe shop, bar, cleaners, an art gallery, and lots of art. They have floor parties once a month and in the summer and on holidays have lots of parties and cookouts for the tenants.
The are only 2-3 downsides that I can honestly see here: One is that when people take their pets out, they DO NOT pick up after them!!!! South Side furnishes the bags and trash containers specifically for them, but the tenants are just too lazy to use them. They are supposed to be fined $150-200 for not doing it, but that isn't enforced. The side streets would be a much better place to walk and enjoy if you didn't have to watch where you step.
The 2nd thing is that there are a few tenants that are rude and wouldn't speak even if they accidentally knocked you down in the hallway. They even make it a point to stare at the floor or look the other way, when you're in the elevator, just to avoid speaking to you. They're just rude people. This is no fault of South Side, it's just a pet-peeve that I had to mention.
The 3rd is the parking. There is no more free parking. All of the parking lots are gated, which is fine. The parking lot in front of the building is free for vistiors, but some of the tenants think it's their personal parking. Therefore when we have visitors and guests, there's no place for them to park because the free parking area is taken up. Friends and family don't even like to come visit because of the parking situation. This is a huge problem, which we all hope will be solved soon.
Overall, everyone here is friendly and courteous. It's a fun and exciting place to live, and we're glad to be a part of it. We love living here and hope we can stay for a while.
I COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY RECOMMEND SOUTH SIDE TO ANYONE!!!
