Management Staff not helpful

I just moved out of Southside after living there for 15 months. The building was fantastic with all the amenities. But if it was so fantastic why would I move out'

The leasing office staff has been horrendous to work with. Any time my husband or I went into the office for assistance we were looked at as if we were stealing the staffs precious time.
It took us 3 months and 6 requests to get air conditioning filters replaced in our apartment. We were told they no longer keep them in stock (a building with close to 500 units not keeping them in stock sounds ridiculous).
We had issues when attempting to get Dish Network installed. We were told by the office that we were allowed to have satellite (we were positioned on the correct side of the building) and even had an addendum added to our lease (and paid an extra 10 bucks a month) to have it installed. Turns out the office told Dish Network they were not allowed to install the dish; could never get a straight answer from the office on this one.
The office staff seem to lack the knowledge necessary to provide accurate and appropriate answers and/or direction to the tenets of South Side. They are quick to offer excuses or pass you on to someone else. They once told me I needed to speak with the individual who leased my apartment to me, the turn over had been ridiculously high with office staff members and our agent only worked at South Side for 4-6 weeks. The manager of the office has been referred to in derogatory terms by her staff when she is not around, and I agree with them she is quite the "witch." There seems to be a lack of respect in the office between the staff members which carries onto the residents. If you are thinking of moving into South Side, don't (or at the very least talk to current residents, preferably ones that have been there longer then 6 months). You will not receive the service you pay for. Pay a little extra for great service (or even good service).
