When I first moved to the lofts at south side on lamar,I thought it was too good to be true,it was.In the end of July I started having problems in getting anyone from the office to return my phone calls. The problems worsened . Management violated TAA lease terms by presenting an eviction for non payment of rent before it was due. They did this even though I had NO OUTSTANDING FEES..AND NO ,,,IT WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT! would not except my payment on due date of rent ..not even a certified check..i never had a lease violation,or complaint , prior to this. they then said they wanted possession of my loft.I was very sick due to a complicated pregnancy instead of fighting it out in court I agreed to move out .They said they would not charge me for that month so long as I just left well enough alone. They said I owed nothing ..they said they were not going to court . Turns out I have an eviction now and a total of $5000 of cleaning fees
(for a cleaned loft)and charges etcetera.I do not know what to do now.because the greed of a certain few . I will have a hard time finding a place to live ...THANKS SOUTH SIDE ON LAMAR!!!!

Crooks? How so? unfortunately it feels as though you may have done this to yourself. I have lived there for 2 years and never had any issues. It seems as though there is more to the story than you have told. That doesn't sound like South SIde on Lamar at all. They go out of their way to make sure the residents are happy. Also, if you were having "problems in getting anyone from the office to return my phone calls" why didn't you stop by and speak with them in person?! Their office is open 7 days a week with long hours for residents and prospect to stop by... So, potential South Side neighbors who read the above post-- please disregard it!!! This is in no way shape or form an accurate portrayal of South SIde on Lamar. Thank you!!

Do you really think your fooling anyone??your shallow and phony response is no doubt the pathetic attempt of a staff member from the management team.By the way ...FOR THE RECORD...I did try to speak with "Valerie" in person..On multiple occasions.Supposedly she is the new GM but she is never in the office....I wonder what Jack Matthews would think if he were to know about the new managements poor attempt to communicate with the tenents.

Hummm! I am a veteran (7 years or so) resident South Side City. It one of the most special places to live in the city. Certainly we all do not agree with the rules all the time. It has never been my experience that anyone at South Side has cheated anyone or was evicted for no reason. Since you have decided to put your business in the street, tell it all and tell the truth. South Side is running a business. With that said, the leasing office has flexible hours, extremely competent staff and amazing service. They go over and beyond to help residents with complicated issues self induced or out of your control circumstances. I am speaking from experience. I will probably NEVER be a homeowner. You did not receive an eviction notice because you were a great tenant. It has been my experience that the staff goes over and beyond to assist South Side family members. Please tell the truth. Since you seem to be familiar with the TAA rules, certainly you have not read them completely or thoroughly. To my knowledge you cannot have an se eviction notice without proper documentation and justification. Tenants do have rights, if they are right. If what you have alleged is true, then you will be able to produce documentation. Certainly with the recent changes at the management level there has been a little of an uneven short lived transition. Just like the residents, all management staff is not compatible with South Side. We ( and I did say we because I am proud to be a resident in this neighborhood) are happy that our management adjustments are on track. I would like to suggest that you call and make an appointment with the new managers and see if you can resolve this issue in an adult business manner. The method you are choosing is not helpful to you or anyone else.
