I have lived here about 7 months and don't have much in the way of complaints. It is an older development (when we toured the property, we were told the buildings used to be government housing in the 50s which makes sense since Love Field used to be a military base and the development across the street has identical structures although operated by a different company) so you do have some of those concerns - creaky floorboards (but still lovely hardwood floors), some bugs (mostly a lot of small spiders in my unit), and an older design.
The construction seems sound and I haven't noticed much issue with noise save the planes coming and going from Love Field. I hardly notice my neighbors, but I usually keep to myself. The appliances are not brand new, but they look to at least have been updated in the last decade.
Within the first month or so of moving in, some residents were placing flyers on everyone's doors making announcements about car break-ins and criticizing the response from management. One of the flyers mentioned an area on one of the wooden fences where there were boards missing which was true. Shortly after the flyer was distributed, the fence was repaired. As to the car issue, I can't really place blame on the management. The location is bordering Highland Park, the ----friendly area, and a predominately Mexican low-income area. Given where the property is situated and the fact that some of the residents tend to more expensive vehicles, I don't expect the area to be crime-free.
I tend to be a quiet resident so I don't have much experience with the management, but they have been accomodating with receiving my package deliveries. The rent is cheap considering the size of my townhouse-style apartment and the location. Surrounding properties go for considerably higher and the new construction tends to be shoddy. So far, I'm quite happy with my experience and would recommend this property to others.

why does pointing out it's a 'Mexican' low-income area differ from just saying it's a low-income area?
