The outside appearance is extremely nice compared to other apartments in the area, especially for the price. I can't complain about the upgrades in my unit as well. I am happy with the amenities the apartment has to offer.. BUT.. when you sign a lease it's almost impossible to get out of it. You have to give 60 days notice (instead of the TAA norm guidelines of 30 days). You also cannot sublease your apartment. There has always been a provision in every lease I have previously signed stating that I could sublease my apartment SO LONG AS the subleasee sign a new BINDING lease with the landlord. I would only have to find the subleasee myself. So if you have an emergency situation, a job relocation, you lose your job, etc. (i.e. - the current recession=layoffs & job relocations).. you are basically SH** out of luck. I have a friend who needs help with his mortgage and cannot find another roommate.. and if I were able to get out of my lease I would be able to help him. I assumed my lease followed TAA norms and realized all of this after calling the main office.. because I didn't READ my lease thoroughly! The staff is not very helpful at all either and almost seemed bothered when I call asking general questions. ALSO.. if you live on the 1st or 2nd floor you can hear the PARKING SUCKS!!!!!!!

I'm sure all of this was thoroughly explained in your lease, you did sign it, didn't you? Why sign a lease if you don't agree to the terms? Everyone knows that if you sign something you ALWAYS read it first.
