It's the Little Things That Will Drive You Crazy. . .Or Out of the Building

Park at Turtle Creek is OK on the big things: Really well-designed entryways into the apartments, doesn't feel so much like a hotel as some other complexes; W&D in each unit; ample parking for residents and guests; decent-size apartments with ceiling fans, good insulation between neighbors, etc. But it's the little things that bug:
1) the ground-level air conditioning units they use are very noisy, especially for those on the first two levels. Walking to your car during the summer when they're all running, it feels like a munitions factory.
2)In my 2-bd floorplan at least, the master bedroom gets little light, even on a sunny day with the blinds open. Basically, it's a cave.
3) Unless you have a south-facing unit and can get satellite, the cable service they use -- US Online -- is awful. Channel-choice is poor and service is lackadaisical. Be prepared to suffer.
4) There was a spate of unsolved daytime break-ins a few months back but they've stopped -- for the time being at least.

I have lived here for almost 2 months, that's why I will only post a review recommending or not this place after I move out, something that everybody should do. But in the meantime ??? point 1, I agree, AC engines are loud, but I think they all are, every where else in the world. Point 2, don't know where you are/were, but my apartment in building 7, facing Travis is super full of light mornings and afternoons. I turn on the living room light at 7.30 Pm (in summer). Point 3, I currently have Comcast, so - all said. Point 4 - no idea, but I feel super safe here.
