The charm of the apartment has been negated in my 2 years here by the lack of security and the attitude of the office staff. Also, I was told by my apartment broker that there weren't many students here, but on the weekends it feels like I'm living in a dorm, and there will be beer bottles and cans scattered all over the grounds until the maintenence staff can get to them, which they always do.

I get these reviews by automatic email, just out of curiosity. I lived there (when it was PATC), when it was a beautiful, adult, sophisticated environment. It immediately changed when it switched hands. My experience then (students, parties, beer bottles, etc.) was exactly the same as this comment posted today - going on two years later. I called the police on numerous occasions to stop the student parties that went on into the evenings. I will be forever supporting these negative reviews until these apartments clean up their act - I am baffled that no one has sued them for the poor quality of living. I mean, don't the tenants PAY for security? Isn't that one of their selling points?! In other states, tenants have powerful rights. I say fight back. I heartily agree with all the continuing positive comments about the staff. Anna was the best, as well as the others, whose names I have forgotten.

I also lived there in the middle of the complex changing owners. I really don't think that the type of tenants changed drastically after the switch. Before and after the switch I had the same experiences with the tenants, at least where I lived (building 7, level 3). I did have 2 guys next door who would party almost every weekend and it could get annoying sometimes, but I would just knock on their door and ask them to keep the volume down and that would work. Besides, the construction is SO good that the damage caused by the high volumes was minimal. Now, the cans and the bottles left overnight is a different story. When this was PATC there would be cleanup every Saturday and Sunday morning (at least in and around the pool). After the switch, they discontinued that, so every Saturday and Sunday morning that I would go to the pool with my little daughter it was a horrible mess. I discussed this with the new manager, ------, and she negated everything and said that she was being told that the pool area had never been so clean before. That was one of my first encounters with this shady character; after a while I learned that she would ALWAYS avoid trouble (not resolve, not take ownership; simply avoid and deny) and ALWAYS insult your intelligence by distorting reality IN YOUR FACE. How much I missed -------- after the change! She had style, she was sophisticated and would pay attention to your concerns. She didn't have that fake smile that most client services people seem to have no matter what, but she would care. ------, on the contrary, has that eternally fake smile, but will do NOTHING for you. No, tenants don't pay for security, just for the apartment and the amenities that you "see": pool, gym, etc. If you look closely at the contract, they pretty much tell you "you are on your own, we assume no responsibility". My cars were broken into twice and I heard several other horror stories from other residents. I discussed the security issue with ------ in repeated occasions and she did NOTHING AT ALL (that's her style), so the second time my car was broken into I went to the office, very upset and quite heated, to argue with ------ (again, because it could have been prevented - I had been asking for, demanding more security). Well, she took me to court accusing me of threatening her life!!!! This is not the point, anyway. The point is: when we where in front of the judge I explained to him why I was so upset at them (and of course I rejected those ridiculous accusations) and the judge said "the purpose of the company that owns the complex is not to give you security, but to make a profit; they are a business". Sad but true. And again - even before going to court I read the entire contract, line by line, and realized that there is nothing you can do, they cover all the bases. Talk about customer service - instead of trying of to calm down a disgruntled customer, they take him to court! That's why, just as much as you, I am committed to forever support the negative reviews of these clowns. If I could stay outside of the complex all day, every day, warning every possible renter, I would!
