Let me start by saying that the people writing these reviews and comments Must Be management or family of this so-called 'caring' and 'responsive' management staff! Let me tell the you the real truth about Timberlodge Apts.
I lived at the rotting lodge for only a year but it felt more like a lifetime. Within that year I saw six new managers and each one brought on a new level of HELL! Timberlodge also was bought by a new development company named Pacific West Management. Most of the tenants were thrilled and thought they would bring a fresh appraoach to apartment living and maybe even some new upgrades. Little did we know that nothing was about to change. In fact, if the managers they were hiring were any indication of what type of company they were running...then they All needed to be thrown in the Pacific Ocean together.
The last manager Mary was nothing nice. She seemed all sweet and nice when you went in the office but would turn around and try to evict you for not paying a $40 misc. fee from 3 months ago.
The new management team minus the two lovely ladies that just started are ----- and Judas combined. If stoning was still legal, Im sure there are quite a few angry tenants that wouldn't mind stoning them to death in the middle of the tennis court!
Whenever you're dealing with this complex, hand deliver all rent money(make sure to get it copied and signed), bring a witness, and a tape recorder isn't such a bad idea. Robin will promise you the moon one day and have no recollection of even talking to you the next. You can pay your rent one day and come home to a notice on your door stating that you have failed to pay your rent the very same day. Money orders are always being 'misplaced' or work orders are never found.
The lovely pictures that you see on the apt. website are NOT what you get when you move in...all of the appliances in my apt. were dated for 1978. My dishwasher didnt work for almost a yr. I had a huge whole in my master bath with pipes exposed for 2 whole weeks before anyone came to fix it. The maintenance workers are constantly walking around the property yet nothing seems to get fixed. One of my neighbors said she has mold throughout her apt. and no one seems to care. Dallas Housing Authority is constantly on site.
Along with old non working appliances and dirty management, Timberlodge is a haven for dope dealers,Sex offenders and Sea Urchins!! When I first moved in, a drug deal gone bad ended with a man being murdered by the exit gate and just in the last month I was there, you could here gunshots being fired three nights in a row. With me having a child still in school I was definitely concerned for his safety walking home. About 2 months ago, one of my neighbors' apt. was even broken into and the office did nothing! All in all, just drive past this complex and don't look twice! This complex is on a downward spiral and no one should have to go through what my family did...especially when you're paying your hard earned money!!
