To dispute inaccurate information...

I understand that apartment reviews can't always be trusted because anyone can post one. However, I will swear on my own life that I have lived in this complex for a year and a half. The old Paula Abdul adage of, "It is what it is" applies here. Treymore is section 8 housing in between downtown and east Dallas (two not so safe areas), so if you can't handle the issues that go along with this, you should never have lived here in the first place. I do not quality for affordable housing. I am simply a young girl that wanted to live close to downtown and Oak Lawn for an affordable price. When I signed my lease, I completely understood what I was getting myself into. Yes, there are homeless people hanging around every once in a while, but not one of them has even asked for a handout from me in the year and a half that I've lived here. In addition, the courtesy is really great about getting them off the property. Yes, there are kids that run around and they can be loud at times. But, as far as I'm concerned, these are all things you sign up for when you choose to live in this area.
Also, to dispute some inaccurate information regarding the leasing staff, the managers/asst managers have not changed in the time that I've lived here. I signed my lease with Celia and she's still here. Jessica was here when I moved in, and still is. A couple of leasing agents have come and gone, but that's normal. As far as the management, it has pretty much stayed the same. And it has to be said that Celia and Jessica are awesome. When I re-signed my lease in November '08, I wanted to do a seven month. They told me that I had to sign for a year in order for my rent to stay the same. When I told them I would have to think about it, they worked to get it approved and my rent went up $6 on a seven month lease. When I gave them my 60 days notice recently, they practically begged me to stay and assured me that my rent would not go up. To re-sign twice and have the rent stay basically the same is pretty rare. I am leaving because my girlfriend and I are moving in together and want to get a bigger place away from downtown. However, if I were still single, I would definitely stay longer.
To address the parking issue, I have never had a problem finding a spot. Even when I come in at 2:30 in the morning after hanging out at the bars, I find a relatively close spot. Visitor parking was shady at one point, but management got a new towing company, so that's not a problem anymore.
Long story short - if you are accepting of the issues that come with living in section 8 housing and being on the east side of 75, Treymore is a good option. If you have more pretentious taste in apartment life, move uptown and pay more.
