Okay, the first thing people need to know about this place is that Upper E Apartments consist of like 14 buildings along Gaston Ave. and Live Oak. Surely people will have different experiences in the different buildings.

I moved into Upper E (the Casa Villa building) a month ago and so far I am very pleased. I had AT&T cable and internet installed with no problem, it's quiet at night and my place was extremely clean upon move in. I have never moved into an apartment where the kitchen cabinents and bath tub were stark white clean.

The building management is very friendly... I mostly have worked with a girl named Amanda and she has been nothing short of professional. I did see one DEAD roach in my bathroom upon my move in (note my apartment was vacant a time before I leased it) but after reporting it to the office they sprayed my place and I haven't seen even a house fly since. I see the hired security in the parking lot occasionally. I do not feel unsafe or like my property is in danger.

Yes, the buildings are old and are in the city. When living in an apartment like that, there are certain things to be expected.

Overall, as a young single white female living in Upper E... it is affordable, clean, safe for city living and pleasant. I hope the rest of my lease goes as well as my first month.
