POST Properties as a company has been the most horrible renting experience that I have ever had to deal with. I have lived in Chicago, DC and now Dallas and this ranks as the worst rental property that I have ever lived in. I do not have the best credit, but it is not horrible either. They made me put down a deposit four times what they had originally asked for at the beginning of the renting process.
The quality of the tenants and age has declined over the past year that I have lived here. I have walked by the pool and the front curb to the entrance on a Saturday or Sunday morning to find puke from the residents who were obviously drinking the night before. I frequent the bars and lounges locally, but this is pure college behavior. I also walked outside twice to find all of the pool furniture thrown into the pool.
There is construction currently going on at my site on Guillot St., this started last summer. What started out as just painting in July and seemed to be taking forever has turned into basically re-stuccoing the entire building. I heard that there was some major water damage to the building. The major construction which you can hear from every unit in the building, explains why I could hear a normal tone conversation that my neighbors were having through the paper thin walls. I do not recommend anyone to rent from POST Properties.
