Management is very nice, but won't tell you the drawbacks...You can't choose heat or air when you want it; it's one or the other, regulated by City of Dallas, which is supposed to keep utilities down(it doesn't). Foundation has shifted so that cooking odors from downstairs make my upstairs apartment smell like the kitchen at Whataburger. The solution' I was told to open my windows. In 90 degree heat. Right....In November, it's 90 degrees; no air, and told to keep windows closed for security' In October, 65 degrees; no heat until November. Maintenance staff is very nice, and have complied with most requests. Office staff is nice, and sympathetic, but will not let me out of my lease even though health dept is threatening to pull my foster care license(and my source of income) due to lack of proper heat and air. If owner converted units to the own heat/air as has been done in most of surrounding complexes, it would be fantastic. Elementary School is fantastic. Landscaping is fine. Location is excellent...I used to live in uptown; much more dangerous. Remote to parking lot works sporadically, and remotes are not available to all residents. All covered parking with no restrictions, which is nice.Living without heat and air when you need it is only for those with missionary/peace corps experience, though.
