As a former resident of Newport, I wish someone had told me that the apartment complex has no air-conditioning 6-8 months out of the year, due to the out dated water chill system.
The system switches twice a year, from approximately April to October you receive air-conditioning and from November to March you receive heat. Texas is so hot year around that I spent many nights sweating in bed. Also, the old system yields high energy costs. 1000 square feet cost $159-220 a month even when sparingly used.
