Ever since the Mid American group took over I've watched this place go into a steady decline. The grounds are no longer kept to the standards they once were, and the whole place is just starting to get really run down. They slapped a fresh coat of paint on everything awhile back, thinking in some way this would make everything better, but really they did a pretty sloppy job of that. Heck they ended up sealing my door shut when they spray painted everything. People put out garbage for Monday morning pickup on Saturday morning. There just seems to be a general downturn in quality for everything across the board. In short the complex is heading toward the Ghetto really quick. Recently my lease expired, however I go no notice of this fact, or that this was going to be happening anytime soon, a note was supposed to be left on my door but in fact nothing was ever left on my door. So basically I was forced to renew because I had no time to look for another place. I see that at least one other person on this review board experienced the same thing which makes me wonder if this isn't a tactic they use in order to keep residents. Because I know I will be likely breaking my current lease as soon as possible. Why did you abandon us Jefferson' The office staff is pretty much a joke, a disorganized bunch of shifty people who seem hell bent on making a buck. There's this one girl in the office who doesn't understand "Overuse of a Tanning Bed." As a face of the management company she's a total laughing stock. Can you say baked potato' May her brain is cooked and that's why service is less than steller there. The place has gone from luxury to low rent...

When your lease contract expires you automatically default to a month-to-month basis. They also can not raise your rent per the lease contract-unless they notify you IN WRITTING 45 days prior to your lease end date(if 30 day notice is required) MANAGEMENT CAN NOT INCREASE YOUR RENT. I would recommend getting a copy of your ORIGINAL lease contract as well as the renewal agreement. If they did violate the lease agreement I would contact Fair Housing and TAA.

Whoever wrote the above review hit it on the nail. I have lived at this complex for close to 5years. When I 1st moved in and it was Jefferson the place was great! I knew all of my neighbors the staff was wonderful. Since it has changed management the place has REALLY gone down the drain. The same thing happened to me with my lease renewal. Basically they said ultimately it was my responsibility to know when my lease was up. I have noticed nothing but a bunch of ghetto kids and people moving into the complex. With the rent they charge I don't know how they can afford it. The complex has become very loud, and dirty. I will thankfully be moving out in March. For myself and the handful of others that have lived there for a while it is easy to see how much the place has gone down. Not just from all of the vacant apartments! I wonder why they just don't leave the access gates open all of the time??? Considering one gate is always broken anyway. Oh and the real kicker is that not only do we now have to pay for sewage but also for pest control! I have to pay for my own pest control!! If you are looking for a bunch of party kids or complete DIRTBALLS then you have your home here. If you want quite adult neighbors and you want to actually feel like your getting something for the arm you pay in rent every month I wouldn't recommend this place. |
