The living space was in my opinion, decent, a little small but overall OK for the money although nothing special. The complex was going downhill when I moved in it appeared and only got worse as I lived there...

Security was a joke- the gates rarely worked. Notices about break ins, a guy attacking women at night and Peeping Toms were not an uncommon sight to see on my door when getting home at night. Instead of doing something about it like springing for a security guard at night, management did a bang up job of holding a crime stopper meetings every now and then which I'm sure nobody attended and leaving notices reminding tenants that "it is not management's responsibility for tenants' safety and to remember to lock up. Nice. God forbid your landlord provides you with a safe place to live... They do have a "resident police officer" who parks his car in the complex at night. Never saw the officer once, although I heard he was a stickler for pool hours. Doesn't sound like his presence was too effective given the number of break ins and vandalism instances. Fortunately, I never got "hit" although I did have maintanence come once to fix the lock on my back door which somehow broke- when I suggested that it appeared as though someone may have tried to gain entry using a tool of some kind, they sure didn't seem very concerned... The work order maintenance left for me said "looks like someone may have tried to break in" on it but that was it. No questions were asked like "why would you think that'" or "have you seen anyone suspicious'" Pretty normal, I guess''

I could have lived with that. This Lincoln Property that took over without warning was, unbelievably in my opionion, far worse than the previous owners, who were not too impressive themselves. The office managed to lose a package supposedly sitting in the office for starters but weren't too worried about it... Don't even get me started on what I had to go through the ONE time I was out of town and paid rent late. I was treated like a second class citizen...

They were rude and unhelpful while I lived there and really showed their colors after I moved out. I did a walk through w/ one of their team members and was told "nothing major was wrong"- "just do a general cleaning before I leave." Admittedly, I didn't have time to clean the unit as well as it should have been although there was no trash or items left behind w/ the exception of a couple wet towels (which I had to use to soak up water from the bathroom floor from a leaking toilet that never completely got fixed) and a satellite dish on the patio. I anticipated being charged a cleaning fee- I even called the office and asked what their fee would be and was told "they didn't charge one" b/c they professionaly clean the units for new tenants anyways. There was one medium sized food stain on the carpet and two small spots outside the bathroom, caused by cleaner liquid used on the carpet to clean toilet water which as I said, constantly leaked onto the bathroom floor and onto the carpet. Shame on me for not having the professional cleaning done anyways despite them telling me it was nothing I should worry about. Like another person below, I got a bill in the mail for several hundred bucks to replace the carpet! When confronting them about it, I was immediately (and rudely) asked "if I have proof of what was said to me during the walkthrough" (I suppose I should have had the agent sign a confirmation letter in front of a notary as to what was said to me'') I'm now without a leg to stand on- the lovely apartment "assistant manager" (isn't it amazing the whole staff consists of assistant managers until you ask one of them a question they don't want to answer') proceeds to get a serious attitude with me and basically tell me what a lousy tenant and person I am, show a picture of a carpet stain and argue as to whether or not it was removable and/or the entire carpet should have been replaced as a result and insist that the carpet was brand new when I moved in (which I dispute as well, they didn't even manage the property at that time and given their track record, I'm not inclined to take thier word for anything at this point). After I return the attitude I'm being met with, I'm then I'm told I'm being belligerent and need to leave... Professional. It'd cost me more to dispute than pay, which is what I'm sure they bank on every time. What a bunch of dirtbags.

Definitely after all was said and done, the worst apartment living experience I've encountered. Once upon a time thought this place was at least decent for the cost despite its shortcomings... But, like everything else, you get what you pay for. Save yourself the headache of having to deal with these people and go elsewhere.
