New managment sucks! My fiance and I moved in in July of 2006. Under the previous management we never had any problems. In June one of our air condintioning units broke so we were cooling the upstairs and downstairs on one unit for two weeks. Our electricity bill was over $100 dollars more because it took them so long to get it fixed. I wanted them to pay the differnce and they said they would, but never did. We moved out in July of 2007. They tried to say that we "ruined" the carpet and charged us $800 for damages due to one pet stain, even though we paid a pet deposit. I tried to fight the charges but they said if we didn't pay they'd turn us in to a debt collection agency. In attempt to avoid this we paid the charges on time. Six months later we got a bill from a debt collector saying we hadn't paid it, even though we have copies from the bank showing that we did. We have been fighting the debt collectors and they will not respond to our attempts to settle this matter. Thanks to Veranda's gross neglegiance to have their information straight our credit is taking a hit, and it's taking us hiring a lawyer to reslove the matter. They put me in a similar situation as well, they tried to claim I owed some bogus charge. I disputed it with their corporate office & they dismissed it, but low & behold it appeared on my credit months after the fact. The Verandas are incompetent and shady.

when we rented the place I asked them to clean and fix the stuff but they did notThey moved me to a filthy apartment. They are rude and you can never get a hold of the manager. they told me to send the bill for cleaning to them but they never paid and its almost nine months. I am moving out in June

you take the risk when you have an untrained pet. would you want pet stains in your apartment you were moving into?
