MY NEIGHBOR BROKE INTO MY APARTMENT!

One of the kids from the building next to mine broke into my apartment and stole over 5,000 worth of electronics. Later I found out that management thought he was responsible for several car break ins. The day my apartment was broken in to maintenance said that the door (that had been busted in) was fine. It took me telling them that the police said my door needed to be replaced for them to be convinced to replace it and even then I waited a week (with the busted door) until they finally changed it out from a different unit and then it took several weeks for my apartment number sign to be put up (They finally fixed it after seeing that I duct taped a piece of paper with my unit number on it to the door.) Also I told them that I wanted to be transfered to a different unit and the best they could do was the unit above mine or the same floor plan on the other side of the property BUT still on the first floor and for $100 more a month. Until this happened I didn't have any problems but since this happened all they do is treat me like I'm an inconvenience.

I do know of this situaton and it is never easy when you have something like this happens. The person suspected by police to have broken into cars in our neighborhood was never a resident here. We do suspect he might have known people in our community. However we have worked with the police and new Statewide patrol to try and keep people like this away from us. We do encourage all residents to use the free intrusion alarms installed in their homes. Afterall this is a huge city where crime knows no address. I am sorry you felt you were being an inconvenience. We do try to make these situations easier by giving you different options when something like this occurs. I know you are considering transfering on site, let me know what I can do to help with your move.
