OK OK so there were some vehicle break-ins. I'm assuming you have car insurance, right' Dallas has the highest crime rate in the US, so wherever you go this is going to be a problem. That said, as far as quality of life issues are concerned, this is the best apartment I've ever lived in. It is QUIET. I do not hear my neighbors at all, ever. The staff is top-notch. Maintenance solves my problems usually the same day. The common areas are very well finished and always clean. I like it here, I don't know what everyone's bitching about. Now we have 24 hour on-site security. It's all good.

Car break-ins should not be a problem when you are paying as much as the folks at Verona pay. The security guard that they hired can be seen asleep in a chair in the lobby or eating Taco Bell and reading the residents wall street journals. Just the other night the front door was left unlocked during his watch and I saw numerous people come in and out without a key. The staff is snooty and makes it seem like your complaint is not their problem. I once went to the office with a service request and they said for me to e-mail it. I do hope you have full coverage auto insurance, because you will need it.

not sure who posted the review speaking about how great this place is but last time i checked this place has THE WORST staff i have ever been around. latoya is the most obnoxious person i have ever met. rates are too high and the security guard is constantly wired or deadly asleep from his apparent crack habit. great location, nice floorplans, awful staff. most anyone here would agree

It is so obvious when the management staff writes a posting. They aren't even clever enough to make it look real. The guard was hired only after a home invasion robbery. Their original "security" person spent his time hitting on new residents and undressing you with his eyes upon entering the building. After the invation robbery they got a real security guard at night. The first one was friendly and attentive to activity around the building. Now there seems to be a different one every night, most look less than competent.
